2022 A Message for the new year!

2022 marks a new decade and I believe with all of my heart that God has special things in store for us; even though trouble is on the horizon.

Keep your eyes on God this year.

Allow God to transform you!

Put away the old things.

Allow God to transform your thinking, your mindset, and your approach to life.

There is more inside of you than you have allowed yourself to see.

Let’s see ourselves as God sees us.

There are gifts inside of you that you have not tapped into yet.

Let’s allow God to help us rethink and retool our lives.

The times may get worse and worse. In fact,

2 Timothy 3:1–2 (said there would be Godlessness in the Last Days) verse 1 says “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,”

Then, Second Timothy 3:3 drives the point further home. It says the following: “(3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

but do not be like them! Do not allow the news reports or anyone else distract your focus from Jesus Christ. Be part of the solution and not part of the problem!

Be yea doers of Godly things. Things that have never been accomplished before, but they are things the Holy Spirit has accomplished through because gods children have stepped up and said: “send me!”

Thus, You may see lots of changes and transitions, but He is moving behind the scenes to make them all work out for your good!

As we start this new year, He wants us to look forward to a new season, a season He has appointed to show us His favor.

Be a transformation!

God wants us to have a transformation. Weight watchers talks about transforming into a new you. A newer and happier you. God wants the very best for his children and he gives us the very best. –

Check your attitude!

Sometimes it’s our attitudes that keeps us from obtaining what God wants for us. Our attitudes and actions get in the way of excepting and looking in anticipation for what’s to come. Our faith has been tested the last couple years, some have let fear rule their life, but now it’s time to get back on track with the Lord.

Pastor Larry, preached a message about the following scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Repent if necessary!

It is with good reason, Our land is hurting and in deep need of God’s divine healing.

God addresses this critical fact -that the sin and wickedness in our life as a nation has direct — and disastrous — effects on our health as a nation and as a global community. Sin is leaving us down the path of destruction!

Sin is leading our country to its demise!

We need to call on God to heal our land, to heal our nation, and to heal our community. It is vital that we are also forthright in changing our wicked ways.

As Christians we need to take 2 Chronicles 7:14 seriously —

2 Chronicles 7:14New International Version

14 if my people, who are called by my name,(A)will humble(B) themselves and pray and seek my face(C) and turn(D) from their wicked ways, then I will hear(E) from heaven, and I will forgive(F) their sin and will heal(G) their land.

The International Bible Encyclopedia (ISBE) gives this definition of wicked according to the Bible: “The state of being wicked; a mental disregard for justice, righteousness, truth, honor, virtue; evil in thought and life; depravity; sinfulness; criminality.”

and we most certainly should take it seriously — these wicked acts must be eliminated across the land.

Ok let’s get back to the message: In the Hebrew language, the our number 20, is actually a letter that means an open hand, giving freely, and/or provision. Now, we can say that in the past two years, since it is 20, we have seen an open hand of God. This is both physically and spiritually the outpouring of gods provisions. For example, I have experienced, God’s giving in ministry. As a woman, he closed all the doors, that he needed to, in order to make Hissom Tabernacle my home. In has reiterated many mysteries of Scripture. In other words, he’s released or allowed us to understand multiple parables. I’ve witnessed his written word come to life. He has granted me numerous opportunities to tell people about Christ. And what he does for one he does for all Galatians 3:28 tells us that.

Another example of gods, open hand, Has been his miraculous protection and healing power in this epidemic.

Moving on from 20 the number 22. In Hebrew, 22 means disorderly or chaos. Boy, don’t we have disorder and chaos today?

This worldly disorder and chaos does not seem to be giving up, just because it’s 2022. In fact, disorder and chaos seems to be on the up and up. In other words, it means that disorder and chaos is growing not only in the United States but across the world.

For example, we can see by reading Psalms 46:6, that the heathen part of the nation is running amok! Psalms said that the heatern are raging And they are, because they are in a continual state of anger and sometimes they are violent.

Psalm 46:6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

For example, every time I turn on the evening news or CNN, I see the hethern raging. They are against everything that we stand for as a Christian nation.

It seems, they can say anything they want to; while, operating under free speech, but they want to take our free-speech away. Isn’t it amazing that you can March the streets of Washington DC and be just as perverted as you want to be? And get laws passed to be that way? -this is chaos and disorder.

This is the times that we are living in today, but don’t be shaken up by it, because God is in control and he has an open hand of provision for his chosen people. – but there are too many of us, Who call ourselves Christians, holding back, because we are in fear. We are in fear of what this disorder and chaos could do to our life. More pacifically, the Holy Spirit wants us to know that we are afraid of disease and pestilence. Someone, listening to my voice is living their life in fear right now. I believe I’m guilty somewhat, but we need to overcome this -with the grace of God.

We need to Pray and trust God for protection and healing.

God, almost prohibits fearful Attitudes! – with faith!

Because we are to have faith in Jesus Christ we can operate in today’s world!

REMEMBER:

Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

We need to face the Reality that cannot please God if we do not have faith. The following scripture tells us just that: “And without faith it is impossible to please God…– Hebrews 11:6” in addition, the following verse says this: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Moreover, God has told us over 100 times in His Word not to be afraid. He tells us not to fear because He is in control. Remember, He is your refuge and strength. The hethern nation, the nonbeliever, will not stop God‘s open hand of provision toward us. God‘s promises are true and he is always faithful to deliver and he has made a promise to provide for us! -you can take that one to the bank!

For -those Christians who keep the faith and have the faith, and do not waver God‘s open hand is to you.

May he not withhold a single treasure or a blessing from you this year. This life is going to get tough. John 16:33 tells us the following:

New International Version

“33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

1 Corinthians 15:57 NIV

57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

Romans 8:37 NIV

37 in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us

So my friends let’s Be courageous and steadfast.

Where is your expectancy?

Our problem, is that we’re looking ahead, but we’re not doing so in expectancy. Most of us are living in doubt and fear, but we need to be looking forward and expecting the good things of God.

James 1:17. New International Version “17 Every good and perfect gift is from above,(A) coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,(B) who does not change(C) like shifting shadows.”

And we can count on God, this year, 2022, to give us the provisions not only to survive, but also to thrive.

All we need to do is trust God: that he will have a open hand to us. God will never leave us nor will he for sake us. He will Always supply our needs and he will give us provision in the mist of Distraction and chaos. Is there anyone in here that thanks this is good news? If so I think you want to get God a shout, in advance

Preparing for this message, I read that many scholars who believe that number 22 translated into Hebrew also means expectancy. According to the word of God, Christians can expect to have favor with him. Let’s pray, and ask God, to deliver provisions for us to succeed in 2022. Let’s ask God, now, to provide for our families in a mighty way. Not only to provide for our families, but for the families that this church encounters every day. Let’s not forget the one we encounter the poor and the needy we serve through our programs; such as, mission of hope, where we see people Monday through Friday, the food pantry, and and the clothing closet. We have many needs in this church and we need to seek God expecting an answer.

All that we are and all that we need is already in the hand of God. I want you to think back now, how many portraits of Jesus have you seen in your life? Recalling those images, have you ever seen God or Jesus with a clenched fist? I have never seen such an image. I have always seen Jesus portrayed with open arms and with open hands.

When our God provides, it’s never just enough, but it is always above and beyond what we needed or asked for, the first time. Our God is more than enough. Check out what Ephesians 3:20 states: “20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, aworld without end.”

He is the God of liberality.

He’s a God of love.

It’s not the god of stinginess.

The Bible said that God is love and sense God is love-

love always guilds.

For example John 316 John 316 says call dad gave it is only begotten son. We see that people who love are also givers. We are givers of our time, talents, and worldly goods. God does not withhold from us and we should not withhold from others. Scripture after scripture tells us how we are to give and to give cheerfully. Praising the Lord for the things that we have, in order to give them. We are famous quotes such as the following: “it is better to give than to receive.”

I would not be a very good preacher, if I did not teach with what the word says; therefore, locate the following scripture:

Hebrews 4:2 (King James Version) “2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”

This means that we must hear the word, but we also must mix faith in to it. So, asked to be the recipient of the open hand of Gd and for an abundance of provisions; then, we must read it, hear it, and have faith in it.

I’m looking forward to 2022 to be my best year in ministry. I Have faith that Jesus Christ that he will provide for me, for my family, for the ministry, and I’ll have left over so that I can continue to bless people as the Holy Spirit directs me to. In fact, my New Year’s resolution is to get to know God better, to do more for God this year than I did in the years past, and to get to know each member of the congregation better.

Now that I got carried away a little bit let’s get back to scripture. Scripture, gives us plenty of examples that we should not follow. For example Psalm 78 tells us not to do like the children of Israel did to God. They would have periods of time that they would believe God and believe his miracles, but then they would leave God and do the opposite. They would backslide. God would call them a hethern nation and send someone to call them back for repentance. This is the way he does to us today. If you are in a backslidden state, you must get right with God today, because today is the day of salvation. Don’t wait until it’s too late. After your death it is too late. The door, Jesus Christ, is closed. Just like the ark, when the door closed, no one else could get in.

Then, to be a good preacher, I need to mention the following scripture:

Hebrews 6:12 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

Now, we have seen that we should not follow certain people but, this scripture tells us we are to follow certain types of people. We are to fellowship with other Christians and this is why we need to get off the couch and come to church.

If you can go to Walmart,

If you can go get your medicine,

If you can go to work,

if you can go to the grocery store,

if you can go anywhere, THEN YOU SHOULD BE AT CHURCH!!

That’s harsh! Yes, but that is from the Holy Spirit this morning.

So, you asked me how do we directly move the hand of God?

Prayer is not to instruct God, or inform God, or impress God. Prayer moves you and me — it is faith that moves God’s hand. … Now, you ask, “Doesn’t God already know my need?” The answer is: Yes He does. In Matthew 6, Jesus said “your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” But, he wants to hear from us. He are also effected by What we see our prayers been answered, because our faith grows.

The Holy Spirit has already stirred up in me to put my faith into action. Nothing is too hard for our God; even in the mist of chaos in trouble.

As I look back, just a few years, our world Has totally changed. Our government and our nation is troubled and stressed.

Next, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that those two words: troubled and stressed or in the following scripture: 2 Timothy 3:1 AMPC “BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].” (here’s how it’s written in the king James version: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”

Furthermore, the Holy Spirit does not want you to operate in fear, but he wants us to operate in faith. In times of doubt, remember this: 2022, is gods open hand of provision.

He has never failed me so far and Scripture tells me that he never will.

Finally, if you continue reading and the third chapter, you’ll find that the Bible tells us to continue and the things that we have learned.

2 Timothy 3:14 New International Version “14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it

So, in other words, the scripture wants us to continue in our faith. Faith has brought us through and faith will bring us over to the other side.

Awesome! We need to go back to when we first got saved. For others, we need to go back to the basics.

Over the years, some of the basic things that I learned was to guard my heart and to guard my mouth.

For example, if you listen to some people, they are speaking like they are of the world; instead of speaking godly. They are also conforming to the world by supporting non-Christian activities and watchingThings on television that should not be uttered. Sometimes, in a crowd, I can’t find a Christian, because they are acting like non-believers.

OK, let’s come back from that rabbit trail. Let’s read it verse 13 together. Paul says: things will be hard to bear and hard to work through, but noticed Paul does not say it’s going to be impossible. 2 Timothy 3:13( New International Version) “13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse,(A) deceiving and being deceived”

When I look around at society today, I see the following:

a lack of godliness,

people who have lost their identity,

selfishness,

filthy lucre,

adultery,

selfishness,

I have redefined the family,

they’ve reignited Racial Tension,

They have replaced education with socialism,

The government has given future generations more debt,

they are haters of discipline,

and they have rejected God.

All of this, the Holy Spirit brings to our attention, to prove that scripture is alive and that God is real.

Wickedness it’s always revealed!

God is still in control and he tells us what to do in the very next verse. 2 Timothy 3:14 ( New International Version) “14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,(A)”

No matter what’s going on in the world around us. Through the chaos and distraction we still trust God! We still exercise our faith!

We still guard our speech!

we still guard our heart!

And we look at God to provide the solution for circumstances.

In Psalm 46:6 (King James Bible) it says the following: “The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.”

-but we….

We still exercise our faith!

We still guard our speech!

we still guard our heart!

And we looked at him, to provide the solution for circumstances.

Our next verse, also is relevant in the days that we live in, because it tells of the destruction, the perversion, and the chaos we are seeing in the world today. Isaiah 24:11 says the following:

Isaiah 24:11 (King James Version) “11 There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.”

This is true, because anarchy reigns and people riot in the streets. But in the midst of all this chaos and disorder, the hand of God is open, and he will provide for his children.

In the middle of all this destruction and chaos God will be faithful and merciful too.

We do not need to be fearful or dreadful, Because merciful means to spare someone and to favor someone. We need to walk by faith and not by sight. God will be favorable towards his people.

Romans 8:28 (New International Version) (is also another memory verse for 2022) “28 And we know that in all things God works for the good(A) of those who love him, who[a] have been called(B) according to his purpose.(C)

-I believe, that something is going to happen to you this year. I am praying, and asking God for favor on this church and in our lives.

Prayer…

So, even though we live in shaky times, the open hand of God is upon us. Made the hand of God, shine favor on your life, so that you can rise above the chaos and destruction. Then, when we rise above, with favor from the Lord, we can help others also to rise above the conflict.

Here’s another memory verse for 2022: Psalm 31:23 (King James Version) “23 O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.”

My dear ones, the Lord protects and preserves all those who are loyal to him. Then in the message translation or the passion translation (verse 11) says to cheer up. Look at your neighbor and smile; then, tell them this is what I look like when I cheer up. The Holy Spirit says for us to take courage; then, wait for him, to make a breakthrough for us. I watch all the doors in your life and except the doors that he closes, And be willing to walk through the new ones he opens for you in 2022.

Memory Verses…

Another memory verse for 2022 is as follows: Psalm 89:21 (King James Version) “21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him” This is a great promise to us from God. His open hand, has been established, and threw him He will lift us up and strengthen us. Do you know this to be true? Then, Give him a shout at Thanksgiving!

Another memory verse for 2022, is as follows: Psalm 89:33-34 (King James Version)33 “Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. 34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” This verse tells us that God, will not break his promises or his covenants that he has made with us. In essence, God will faithfully deliver or do all that he has promised us. Boy, that is shouting words.God is not a liar nor is he a covenant breaker. He is the same yesterday, and today! His words are true and you can bank on them.

Here is your last memory verse for this lesson. For your convenience I have listed it as follows: John 16:33 (New International Version) 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.(A) In this world you will have trouble.(B) But take heart! I have overcome(C) the world.”

So, brothers and sisters, we have God‘s promises to carry with us. Promises that are faithful, tried, and true. Yes, I understand that we live in a shaky talent world, but this is 2022 and I want you to remember that God has an open hand it to you.

They are for the unsaved we simply have to believe and have confidence in God and he will help us rise above our circumstances.

Can I say, will you repeat this? Our futures are bright.

Let’s agree to gather, to do with the Holy Spirit wants us to do, and that is each morning, declare the following to yourself: today, I am going to experience the open hand of God; even in chaos and disorder. It doesn’t shake me. It doesn’t move me. I have my faith in God and his word. My eyes are fixed on him. Come what May, but my faith is in Jesus Christ. I am going to live in total victory.

Give a hand clap to the Lord this morning! Let’s have a song: victory in Jesus! If you need to pray the alter is open. So, expect to see the open hand of God, in 2022.
