Biblical Notes:
Does worry, doubt, or fear get the best of you sometimes? Do you wonder where anxiety comes from and how to defeat it in your life and the lives of those you love?

When anxiety hits understand that everyone goes through periods of anxiousness and panic in I like what Peter says in first Peter chapter 5. Peter is writing from an age of senior citizenship. He has been there and done that as they say here in the south. Hence, Peter is coming to a church with a message for Christians that still is in effect. The message is as follows: if you are. Child of God then you have Satan’s bulls-eye on your back.
Next, please read His message and paraphrase it’s meaning in the space provided.

1Peter 5:6
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11
To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
The attack from Satan oftentimes touches us in the form of great anxiety. The enemies goal is to kill and still Godly men and women, because as Peter states in verse 7 that our goal is to make God our daily focal point. Listen friend, we are under attack and not all of your anxiety comes from you. If we listen to the Holy Spirit this attack won’t come as a surprise, because scriptures informs us that the Devil comes as a roaring lion; therefore, we must listen to that roar; so, we won’t be in an abush.
Friend there are true anxiety disorders and I know from experenices, but thank God that the anxiety the delievers loves to dish out is only for a season. When it is your turn that “Big-Mouth” will be right in your face and breathing down your back.
Hense, our nature when faced with a lion is to run! – But Peter instructs us to dig our heels in and stand all! Really? Please read verse 9! We ought to, reach our voices to Heaven. At this point, we cry-out to the Lord!
According to verse 6 the hand of God that has moved throughout History is still the hand that is outstretched over your life today! We must humble ourselves under His hand. We must stop trying to fix it all ourselves! We must lay ALL PRIDE aside.
Finally, the hand of God represents His plan. I’m so glad that my plan was not God’s plan. I can’t tell you how many times I have felled! I am truly blessed not to have the anxiety that comes from planning all of life’s events. This is why I proclaim the scripture about casting all of my cares upon Him, because He is faithful and Just to liberate us from all evilness, and uncontaminated us from the inside out; which, offers us our key to Heaven.

I strongly believe that if we are in Christ we are part of the New Creation and part of a community where old social paradigms of hierarchies and caste or class systems have no place in ministry. (2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 3:28) Currently, with the Holy Spirit I am writing my 12th Bible Study. I enjoy volunteering at Elk Valley Christian school, guest appearances, traveling to teach God's word, doing research, and learning new things.
