What does the Bible tell us about the Bald-Eagle? 3-Day Daily Devotion

Advertisements

Bald Eagle-Part One
Bald eagles are humongous birds. They can be described as a hawk with longer wings. They soar in the sky in a horizontal pattern. They are easily spotted in the open sky, because of their bold, bald, head and white tail feathers. These birds love to be near water, because their favorite cuisine are fresh fish. You’ll find a nest on high rock cliffs. Under the rock oil has to exist, because the birds anoint themselves for molting purposes.
Record a time you have seen a bald eagle. If you have not seen a bald eagle watch a video online. There is a YouTube video that watches the Eagles and records them doing daily activities.

Daily Devotion: Bald Eagle-(Adolescent Eagles)

Part Two:
In the first chapter of Obadiah, the eagle is used to describe the kings of the land. The kingdom of this land was called Edom. God was displeased with the entire kingdom. On our geological maps, Edom would have been southeast of Israel. Edom included Petra and ended at the gulf of Aqaba. The life cycle of the eagles represents what a Christian’s life should mimic. The biblical people of Edom were far from Jehovah’s laws. The people and the eagle both rested under the stars, in high nests (Just like the bald eagles, the land of Edom rested in high cliffs), near a water source. According to this scripture, their personalities were described a boastful. God said they are so boastful that their attitudes soared as high as the eagles. Our Messiah is a jealous God and He was not happy that this kingdom forgot about him.

Re-write the scripture and put it in your own words!

2. Deuteronomy 6:15

3. Matthew 5:13
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Bald Eagle can also be described as a bird that talks to itself, but I believe the cry of the Bald Eagle is heard in heaven. I admit, I love talking to myself, but since I have a relationship with Jesus I’m never alone and I’m never talking to just myself. David in Psalm 103 is apparently talking to himself! However, I think he is in a prayer with God. David has a thankful heart! David is thanking the Everlasting Father for his favor, His grace, the satisfaction of his soul, and for God answering his heart’s desire.
What does Proverbs 8:21 say about being satisfied?
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
In Psalm 103 David adds a metaphor about eagles. How long can an eagle live? An eagle can live nearly 100 years just like people. In biblical days, the environment was a lot different from ours; so, the eagle could live to be 120. During the time of an Eagles molt they cast out undesired feathers. Then, God plants new feathers and the bird becomes young again. On the other hand, God Almighty, provides us with grace and mercy through the Holy Spirit. When we surrender our life to Messiah; our old life dies and the Redeemer gives us a new life. We actually are re-born and our inner man becomes a newborn babe. Therefore, just as an eagle plucks the feathers on its wings, we allow the blood of the Beloved Son to wash our sins away. With this anointing we feel like a new creature. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Note: When the adult male eagle turns 60 years old, he returns home, where his bride takes care of him for 30 days. During the 30 days, the male eagle plucks out all his feathers. He is bare and venerable. The bride feeds him and takes him to a waterfall. At the flowing water the male washes himself. Then, they return home and the male rubs his growing feathers in the oil from the rock. After the anointing, the male leaves the nest and he no longer needs any more oil rubbings, because God gives him two oil sacks under his wings. Now, the eagle feels like a new man. He soars to new sites. He feels like he has been re-born.

Think about the note above. Describe how it reflects to your life as a Christian?

What does Job say in 33:23 ?

Consider the following verse.
Isaiah 40:30-31
Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

How does the scripture refer to Author and Finisher of our Faith?
Deuteronomy Chapter 32
______________________________________________________________________________
In Exodus 19:4
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Almighty God reiterates to Moses that He sustained the entire nation of Israel. Just as He created a mother eagle to carry her young on her wings. This is a majestic picture of God being in control, full of power, love, and kindness.
An eagle will hover over her young. The mother and father take care of them. They both hunt and chew the food up before it’s given to the baby. When danger comes the father kills anything in sight and the mother spreads her wings all the way out and gathers her young under her wings. Life often gives us a lemon and we find refuge under the Arm of the Lord.
Sometimes, when learning how to fly the eagle transports her young on her wings. After a normal hunt and mealtime for the young bald eagle. The adult eagle actually destroys the nest she had made for her baby. Then, she takes the baby to the end of the cliffs and pushes it off. While mother drops the baby the Father catches it just before it’s about to go splat. Then, it’s his turn to drop the baby. As the baby falls the mother eagle ascends through the air and catches it on her wings. How does this depiction of the eagles describe our Heavenly Father?
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Our Master is able to raise us in all paths of righteousness! We can learn a great deal from the Bald Eagle. The mother and father take care of their babies. They, bring them up in the knowledge of the Lord. After the baby reaches the teenage years the mother and father creates a small nest below their home. The eagle parents teach the young how to hunt and survive as an adult eagle. When mother and father think it’s time for the young to be on its own they kick them out. For example, sometimes, in our wisdom, we witness our homes, jobs, or relationships being torn-up, but our Advocate always has his arms out stretched. When we need his protection, He hovers over us. He tries to teach us to fly.

I feel like I’m in full bloom. Some of you may still be on the milk. What stage of renewal are you in? ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

In final thought, our Creator, allots us boldness to step out in faith. Sometimes, it feels liked we are dropped off in unfamiliar territory. Occasionally, we are weak and ate up by the lion (1 Peter 5:8), but the Author and Finisher of our Faith, picks us up and carries us until we are ready to fly again. This process seems to happen repeatedly. He soars in to catch us just before our death and then drops us one more time so we can learn how to fly.

Where has God dropped you this time?

Daily Devotion: 17 Bald Eagle-( Eagles of Revelation)Part 3
Won’t that be a day? When we walk through the pearly white gates of heaven? When we all march down the streets of gold? When we cross over the crystal clear sea? How about the view of the fruit trees? Or when the angles part and we sing a new song? One that they don’t know. How about when we bawl down at Jesus Christ’s feet?
Re-read Revelation 4:7, Revelation 8:13, and Revelation 12:14.
Revelation 4:7 ESV
The first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight.

Revelation 8:13(ESV) 13 Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!”

Revelation 12:14 (ESV) 14 But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.

In Revelation 4, John was called up to the heavens. I believe it was either a vision or his soul that was caught up. He was not just called to any old place in heaven. John was called up to the throne room of Jehovah. He is given a glimpse of the judgement seat where the King of the Universe Sits! This is where He will give out final life sentences. John hears the glory of God and has no idea how he can explain what he sees. John reports that there is a beast with four heads. Compare Ezekiel’s vision and John’s vision. (Revelations 4:7 vs Ezekiel’s 1:10)

It’s in Ezekiel that we learn the beasts are labeled as cherubim’s. I’m sure, while John was on the Island isolated, he did not have Ezekiel’s notes. What are the difference between Cherubim’s and Angles? ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Here are a few scriptures to lead you in the right direction.
1. Hebrews 13:2 “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” ______________________________________

2. Hebrews 1:14 “Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?” ______________________________________

3. Matthew 4:11 “Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.” ________________________________________________

4. Psalm 91:11 “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Guardians that protect God’s children?

It’s fascinating that the eagle announce his cry: “woe, woe, woe”. This occurs after the third trumpet. This announcement is for the angles to go. Revelation reports that the Eagle means judge and judgement.

Habakkuk 1:8

There are four scriptures I like to review and point out!
Revelations 4:7 _____________________________________________________
revelations 8:13 _____________________________________________________
revelations 9:4
Revelations 12
Revelation 9:4 speaks about the sixth trumpet. In verse one, an Angel, sounded an alarm. This angel will come to earth in the form of a star that is falling. John reports they heard an eagle cry in the a.m.! Have you ever heard the cries of an eagle? John informed us that the Eagle was flying in Heaven (the thrown room) and it’s cry was delivering a message of woe to the world.
In the space provided describe the sound of an Eagles cry.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
He said, there are three cries that predict total distraction of the earth. The woes are delivered in are trumpets five, six, and seven. Most modern day bible translations say that well well well Means terrible judgment, terrible judgment, and terrible judgment.
The bottomless pit is down under our feet. And Angel will come and open the bottom of the pit. I don’t think this will be a little tear in the earth, but a big one! Maybe, like the horrible sinkholes that we have been witnessing popping up all over the world. Then, the angle breaks the ground to the bottomless pit, smoke fills the air, darkens the sky, and the Locust come out. Scripture informs us that the locust will not destroy the vegetation of the world, but they will sting those who have rejected Christ and love death. Only those who have been sealed with a mark on his for head will be spared. The good news is that we will be already gone in the rapture! Those who have been sealed today are already in the holy presence of the Lord. (Ephesians 1:13) We will not be given a second seal. Why?
__________________________________________________________________

Because the church will already be with Christ. We will have already received our redemption.  According to verse five and six there is no death! Man will want and seek death, but because of their judgment (rejecting God) they will not locate an antidote and the will not be able to kill the flesh. Only today we can crucify the flesh.
In the space provided record what your imagination has stored? (Draw of Write) ( (Hint; Some things to think about: Will they appear sick, bruised, or intoxicated? Is this sting like a scorpion? What is the stinger? It is the preserving poison? Is it a slow poison that takes a total of five months to travel through every cell and blood vessel of the body?)
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________
In verse 9:6 we read that no mercy will be given to those who hate God. I believe that we can tell those to hate God, because they love death. Even in our society we can tell who hates God and loves death. What groups of people do you think hates God?
__________________________________________________________________

I think the killers of unborn babies would qualify. God created those babies before they were even in the mothers womb and He had a purpose for each one. In the Bible, we know God hates baby killers, because there are countless times that have been recorded that God passed down their judgments. In addition, we can also pinpoint those who are evil doers by their actions. For example, the public news forums creates stories that glorified evil. I recently read how euthanasia is legal in some countries. I recently, discovered on Fox News about a set of twin brothers who were permitted to commit suicide. This sad event took place in Belgium. The two brothers were going blind and no longer wanted to live. They had everyone who wanted to say goodbye visit them in the hospital. After their chat, they simply waved goodbye to their ones and walked into the medical ward. -My friend, this is only one example of how people make bad things seem good. However, if you are in Christ today you don’t have to worry about being alone and make a poor choice like this. We are not citizes of this country! We are citizens of an eternal country where good is always good and bad died in the bottomless pit. Our God wanted us to have a great family and a great churche which helps us live our lives in His define purpose and love.
In verse eight and nine we hear the sound of the locust. Do you recall our lesson on locust lesson from my other book or did you watch a live class on YouTube? Well, let me remind you about the four leopards that debated on the city wall of Samaria. We read about the four (seeking food, but they found an abandoned army camp instead. Why did they find this abandoned army camp?
_____________________________________________________________

– Because, God had created a sound like chariots which scared the army and they fled. They fled, because they feared on an incoming attack. This sound is described of a sound of chariots and horsemen, but it could have sounded like a swarm of Locust. (2 Kings 7)
Didn’t the number five, and first 10, is the number of death. I’ve heard that the number five is for Grace, but in this scripture we find out that the number of five that means a day. This causes pain. How do you feel when you are in pain? What is your temperament? I don’t know about you, but I can get quite hateful. So, in this time, we will see is suffering and hateful group who love loss and death.
In verse 10 the locusts are an awesome instrument of war something out of Hollywood don’t you think? Inverse 11 the names of the creatures are given from God. The names of the king is a Abaddon. In addition, in verse 12 two more woes , after this first one. This is not Hollywood it is life. It’s true and coming in the future. Today, we are living in the time of labor pains. For example, during these natural disasters we hear roars from under the earth. Jesus is coming in writing on the Whitehorse. He ready and start studying. 1 Thessalonians 1:10
According to Revelation 12:14, the fifth trumpet sounds, and the eagle speaks. This can happen! Read this verse in Numbers 22:28. Flying in mid heaven a woman is given two eagle wings. She is sent into the wildness where her nest is already prepared. Record a note about each scripture. Record what the eagle represents.
Exodus 19:4 ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Deuteronomy 32:11-12
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Psalm 55:6
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The fact is, the Almighty will carry us on his wings. He has a Heavenly nest just for us. Per scripture, the nest is not perishable. The nests are actually mansions. (John 14:2) This scripture is a metaphor for what is to come. If you would like to find out how many days, the woman is waiting in the Deliver’s refuge, read these scriptures: Revelation 11:2 and Daniel 9:27. It is true after the fifth seal is broken mother eagle (God) will provide a place in the dessert for his children. He will protect them and provide for them and he will for you too.
In closing, today, Bald Eagles seem to be doing well in my home state of West Virginia. I have seen them along with many of my friends and family members. We love to share our pictures on Facebook. There are more than One hundred pairs of bald Eagles reported in the state. The closest forest to me is the one called Kanawha State Forest. It’s one of my favorite places to take the girl scouts and other groups to visit. The forest provides excellent bird-watching opportunities. If you ever reach WV be sure to take some out for bird watching! However, you can watch the birds anywhere you visit! So, hit the woods and find some bald eagles!
