What happens to the body when we die?

Consider Paul, in Galatians 2:20. Let’s highlight the words “I Live.” The body is important, but Paul understood that it’s the life that is lived that’s important. In the case of Paul, he lived his life for God who created him. It’s the body that allows us to fillfull our purpose. We don’t need to get to attach to it, but we do need to realize its propose and take care of it. To further understand the purpose of our bodies consider the following verse of scripture: Romans 12:1 1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship.
Today, everywhere you look we place an emphasis on the appearance of the body. Sometimes, in life we even get our cart before the horse. We care so much about our appearance that we spend our resources and energy in making it better. We seem to put the goals of the body before the goals of our spirit. The Bible tells us to realize the soul is more important. Deliberate on 1 Timothy 4:8. Paul reports that it’s good to care for our bodies, because without the body functioning properly we cannot do the will of the Father; however, when we take care of the spirit we please the Father. What the spirit binds today, will be rewarded today, and in the next life. The body simply materializes and makes a difference for a short period of time.
The death of Jesus on the cross was a war against the sacrifice. The three major parties were Earth, Heaven, and Hell. Jesus Christ died the first and second death for the Christian.

I strongly believe that if we are in Christ we are part of the New Creation and part of a community where old social paradigms of hierarchies and caste or class systems have no place in ministry. (2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 3:28) Currently, with the Holy Spirit I am writing my 12th Bible Study. I enjoy volunteering at Elk Valley Christian school, guest appearances, traveling to teach God's word, doing research, and learning new things.
