The meaning of Death
To make our bodies a living organism we need an element of power from God. This is not the Holy Spirit. When God turns off the power to the body it ceases to exist. The soul does not fill some other space or being. We are not dreaming and we also know nothing. When we die the energizing force is gone. Our body simply shuts off. We have no feelings. We simply return to the Earth. Just like we were before we were born.
The book of Revelation fascinates me. As I read the words of this book; sometimes, I feel like I’m wading in the water; while, other times the information seems to drown me. I love the book of revelation! Although, I don’t always understand it. On my face in prayer, I must ask God to open my eyes and my ears and teach me. Show me how death, hell, and heaven affects me and help me explain it to whomever will listen.
This book is the book that unveils the future. It’s this book that will help us realize what’s beyond the grave. In the Greek language revelation means to open. I picture this as a curtain (drape) being drawn back at the beginning of a church production. The book of Revelation was written around 95 AD during the rule of the Romans. The book spans three literary genres, but for the sake of this study we begin our study at the Second Coming of Jesus.
Notice friends what we have before us? We have a new Heaven and a New Earth. (Revelation 21:5) Jesus is the only thing that matters in this new place. This new place is for Jesus and his bride. To be the perfect bride of Christ we must accept him while we are yet alive. Our heaven is Jesus. On the other hand, to understand Heaven in mathematical terms lets visit Revelation 21:14There is a city that comes down from heaven. This city is called the Great Jerusalem. This cube is a perfect cube of one hundred and five miles in each direction.
According to 2 Corinthians 5: 8-10 “We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” Get rewards for the good and the bad. If you have been born again. If you are part of the Living God. There is no light. No light that is turned off by day or night. (Revelation 21:25) The lamb and God is the light. People go in and go out of this city. Only the ones who know Jesus personally will stay. All humanity will come to know about salvation. On this day Jesus’s bride (the elect/saved) will set on the beama seat. This is the court that solves all the petty problems. None of His will enter the Great White Throne of Judgement. Jesus will hand out the rewards. He will solve any squabbles He has with his people. He once and for all edify and justify his people before the Almighty God. Then, Jesus will show us the God being. Now, I do not know what this will look, but I do know it will be an everlasting being. A being that loves us. Not measured by time or perhaps space. The being that always has been and will be. He may or may not have form. He maybe a light. However; when we got saved God the father showed us the Son, Jesus, but on a day in the near future Jesus, the Son, will show us the Almighty God. I leave you with certainty to dwell upon. How exciting.
The Great white throne will be open for creation to see. We will Look at the Almighty. His light will be so mightily in this place. Nothing can stand before God unless he/she is purged and clean with his spirit. Creation can’t even stand it. Will we be at the Great White seat of judgment or will you be where they mock him. In the sea of separation, Hell?
I for warn you! That’s a warning someone should take to heart. You should understand we are here for a little while; while, we have somewhere else to go. Listen to the words of Jesus! He says, I warn you! He lived, died and now he lives again. He has the keys to heaven and hell. He saw the white horse. The thrown of God. He is the faithful and just. He is called God Almighty, Revelation 4:18 Where are you going friend?
