What does the Bible say about healing?

Proverbs 4:10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

According to Proverbs four, if we want healing, we need to be in the word. Yes, our eyes need to be physically reading the word of God. I know from experience, that I retain God’s word much more when I’m looking at it with my eyes and then it digests it my soul. Therefore, if you have your Bible with you, open up Gods word to Matthew 21:22, because that’s where we will begin. In the space provided please note what the chapter is about!

Proverbs 4:10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

In order to be healed we must believe. Before we even apply the oil we must believe that God will heal us! Then, the minute that the anointing oil is placed on your body you must also believe that God provided the healing. It’s not enough to believe that God can heal, but you have to believe God will heal you. We know according to Scripture that if you believe that you receive, the minute that you step out on faith, then God will heal you.
Again, turn back in the pages of your Bible, to Acts 10:38. This is the description of when John the Baptist was baptizing Jesus Christ and God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost. This anointing was truly given by God; which, gave Jesus all rights, honor, power, and glory not only heal, but to fulfill God‘s purpose on earth. Next, God’s Word says that Jesus went about teaching and doing all that was good. It also states that God said Jesus went about doing good and healing; therefore, God thinks healing is a good work. Is sickness a good thing? No! Sickness steals the livelihoods of people, destroys their families, their bodies, and their minds. Sickness often prevents people from doing the will of God. Therefore, through Jesus Christ and his work on Calvary, we have a right to be healed of our infirmities.

I strongly believe that if we are in Christ we are part of the New Creation and part of a community where old social paradigms of hierarchies and caste or class systems have no place in ministry. (2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 3:28) Currently, with the Holy Spirit I am writing my 12th Bible Study. I enjoy volunteering at Elk Valley Christian school, guest appearances, traveling to teach God's word, doing research, and learning new things.
