For this season of lent I’m trying to replace soda with water?
Why does the body need water?

When Jesus Christ entered into a new city it was in an uproar. You had those who believed, those who wanted to believe, those who were curious, those who needed a miracle, and those who wanted Jesus dead. Let’s pick up in the book of Matthew. Here is what it says: Matthew 21:10King James Version “10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?””
Today, I can’t imagine what this may have look like. The closest thing that I can think of would be a Christian concert, in a big Civic Center somewhere. The anticipation the people must’ve felt. Wondering just who this man is. I don’t want to say was, because Jesus is. He sits at the right hand of the father. Awaiting to come back and pick us up. Perhaps, believing that Jesus was is the problem with churches today. Perhaps, that is why we are so Quiet! If we have this living water running through our bangs; then we should be giving a grand testimony in the sanctuary and in everywhere we go. If we believe that Jesus Christ could come this very moment we should be singing him praises. We should be shouting and getting testimony. This living water is what we want to spill over and into our love ones.
Today, I am standing before you, because of what Jesus has done for me. What has Jesus done for you? His disciples, had Jesus with them, but we have Jesus In us. And this is found in John: 19cripture, that they are pharisees saw that the whole world was falling for Jesus. This is found in John 12:19! From the New Living Translation
“Then the Pharisees said to each other, “There’s nothing we can do. Look, everyone has gone after him!”
This is what we should desire for our culture today. We should desire that the culture, the people, fall for Jesus, because he is the living water with Us. He is alive and he is well.
When we stand up, being humble, and proclaiming what Jesus Christ has done for us; our enemies, just like the Pharisees, will know that Jesus is in Us. Then, our people, might take notice and be saved. Also, I believe, when we allow Jesus to be our Lord and Savior that the world will be able to live in peace.
Our God is good; even though, our circumstances might be rotten. Here, at the well, Jesus makes a connection with a Woman. Today, we need to make a connection with Jesus Christ. We first, need to repent and turn from every wicked ways. Then, Jesus will hear our prayers. There is power in this connection. Holy Ghost power.
Jesus, here at the well, must have also been praising God, because there was a well in the middle of the desert. Church, if we would realize, that we are living in a dry dessert; then, we would have a chance resent the gospel. If we would just put down our phones, look up, and look around God with direct us to someone thirsty.
God’s ways are higher than our ways. God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts.God’s ways are higher than our ways. And this scripture is a prom example of Christ geniusness. He begins to talk with the lady about water. She realizes where the water came from, But she does not understand her spiritual need for water. So, she is very confused at the beginning. I’m sure that every Christian in this room and reading this blog, can relate. Before we were saved we were also confused. Most of us were beaten down by Satan and his words prevented us from excepting the free gift of salvation.

This was when her her eyes were opened. She was no longer blind but now she could see. She began to understand godly things.
She She understood the connection between her need for physical need for water and her spiritual need for water. Today, we have a whole generation of people that do not know the connection between the physical and spiritual. Sure, they may say the name of Jesus Christ. they may know who he is, but they do not understand the connection. For example, we know that electricity runs. We have to join the wires together. Today, we have to join people together with Christ. And we also realize, that Wires can have a short in them.short happens. But most of us do not know how to fix the issues. We need to call the power company or the electrician . WELL, we need to be the church and tell the people. We have all different ways of telling the people today. We should be using every aspect of human contact along with technology. Today, we can send invitations by mail. Today we can send invitations, email, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc. we can even make TikTok videos about how we do it in church. We could even go above and beyond and meet converse commercials to air on radio and TV. I fear that we are not doing enough. I fear that I’m not doing enough. However, I know if we ask God for the opportunity he will supply that need, because it is in his will that we present the gospel to others.
We live in a time that people live in a thirsty world.
, As I look around our world I see many people suffering with their lusts. We have a world full of empty vessels. Vessels that desire love, but they’re searching for love and all the wrong places. They are so thirsty, that they are dry, and as God’s child we are required to deliver this live in water.
I want to challenge you, to Easter everything is being born again. Yes boost the mood of people and their willingness to leave their home. I challenge you to invite 20 people to Easter service. This means that you invite someone every other day, because lent lasts 40 days. Then, I want you to give me a list of those people. Give me their name, address, phone number if you have it. This will be for a prize Easter Sunday!
What does the Bible say about Living Water!
Let’s look again at verse: John 4:14. (New International Version)
14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.(A) Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water(B) welling up to eternal life
Today, we need to learn how to engage and operate in our culture. In this story Jesus did not condemn the woman for her failed relationships and he does not condemn us for four her wrongdoings. He simply found somebody that was thirsty.
She was invited to exchanged her thirst for an innerspring of living water.
We live in a culture that sin abounds and that does not condemn sin. A majority of our culture calls good evil and evil good”. The Lord wants more spirit field people. He wants us to offer this living water to people that are struggling. This is how we are to interact in our culture today. We are to do so with love, grace, and truth.
Our church and each individual person should not condemn centers, criticize politicians, or slander others for their sin or addictions. After all, Jesus did not come into the world to condemn it. Jesus is the solution and we should lift him up. We simply must repent and look to him for salvation. We should be building relationships with even the poor and those who live selfishly. We should deliver Jesus to those who are struggling in the world today.
Romans 5:5 — The New International Version (NIV)
5 And hope(A) does not put us to shame, because God’s love(B) has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit,(C) who has been given to us.
We need to deliver the dry with water; so they will thirst no more. In the bookRomans chapter 5 :1–11 Paul describes the amazing benefits that come with being declared righteous before God by faith in Christ’s death for our sin. God has made peace with us. Everyone in this world is entitled to this piece, but some have trouble connecting with this piece. The Holy Spirit, charges each one of us to deliver this piece, Jesus Christ, to the thirsty and hungry.
We stand in His grace, and we rejoice in the sure hope that we will share in His glory. Our suffering brings growth, which leads to even more potent hope. God has proven His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. We are saved from God’s wrath and reconciled to God in Christ.
One more thing, the Holy Ghost wants me to bring out, is the fact that the disciples returned to Jesus and witnessed him speaking to this hated woman. I’m sure there eyebrows drow down and their smells turned into frowns. There is a message in this for us today! On Easter Sunday, when all of the people that we invited shows up, we are to greet them with a holy kiss. And this holy kiss is found in: 2 Corinthians 13:12 — . Now, God gave us a sound mind; therefore, we know that this does not mean we actually have to kiss every single person that comes into the church house. It simply means to greet one another with excitement. Great each other with the love of Jesus Christ. Verbally, share your excitement for them being at church. Invite them to return. Make small chitchat: by asking them where are they from and who do they know what the church. If you are not afraid of Covid germs shake their hand.
We need, people who are far from God. People who are in Sin deep God too. We need to explain that God loves all that he created saved person like me. Therefore, we can save you two. It does not matter what circumstance or stage of life that they are in because we all need Jesus. Without Jesus we can’t enter into the kingdom of God.
