Isaiah 55:10-11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Jeremiah 23:28-29 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. 29Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
The spoken word of God is very important, because He spoke everything into existence. When we speak the word of God, in the Name of Jesus Christ, it has ability to overcome problematic obstacles. According to, Isaiah 55:10-11: “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” The Word of God is powerful, because it is guaranteed by God to be effective. God’s Word will accomplish His desires and purposes.
When we speak the Word of God we employ limitless power! For example, consider Jeremiah 23:28-29. Jeremiah states: “Let the one who has my word speak it faithfully [29] Is not my word like fire, declares the LORD.” We can visualize the word of God as being a hammer and this hammer breaks strongholds in pieces. Christians need to speak the word of God faithfully! When we do this positive reactions will occur. The hammer of God will break obstacles and deliver us from oppression. For example, Jesus used the written word to defeat Satan. Remember, Jesus told Satan: “It is WRITTEN!” and when He did this the schemes of Satan were defeated. So, we see, great power exists in the spoken word of God. Your expressions have power when they are God’s writings spoken in faith from your lips. Fortunately, we don’t have to speculate what God’s words are, because we can follow the example that Jesus gave us when dealing with Satan. He quoted the Scriptures; therefore, should also, because the bible is the word of God.
His word can also be described as a two edged sword. Hebrews 4:12 describes the word as a two-edged sword. Using scripture to speak truth can dispel all things that come from Satan. The two edged sord is “the Son of God,” because Jesus stood alone; just as, the word of God stands alone, and He cut through the bondage of sin for all mankind. In addition, after we have learned “The Word” God has implants truth in our heart; then, we become part of His word and we must speak it. The spoken word proclaims and the written word edifies; therefore, the word teaches us.
When we began to praise God, God draws all mankind to himself! His blessings twinkle down into words that speak healing to our inner being. What does your inner being want the next generation to know? How did you pass from living in the darkness to living in the light? What is your confession? Answer one of the above questions, but be sure to include some of “The written Word of God.”

I’m a member of Hissom Tabernacle Church of the Nazarene. The church is located in the heart of Charleston, WV. I’m so glad that God lead me to a church where all the members love to study God’s word. The members are really good about giving their testimonies and praise reports. The church was established in the 1934. It’s mission is truly to serve others. Monday through Friday and Wednesday nights, we serve meals to the homeless. We also have an open food pantry every Tuesday and it serves between 100 to 200 families a week. Then, we have a free clothing closet open Monday through Friday! In addition, I am currently serving as the Youth Pastor. The church allows me to volunteer in all the above areas; plus, I’m granted the following privileges: to lead the teenagers quartet, teach Wednesday night Bible studies, and be apart of the praise team. Finally, I also have 14 Bible Study books published and are available for purchase on Amazon.com.
A portion of the profits from each book sold goes to fill the churches food pantry and feed the homeless.
